JOCHEN SCHWEIZER CITYWAVE!
An unbelievable project with Gibbon Slackline team, including Tauri Vahesaar, Abraham Hernandes and Nathan Faure-Vincent. The project took place in the Jochen Schweizer surfhouse. We rigged a 25 m line 3,5 m high above the waves. Beneath us were surfers enjoying the waves!
Slackline show in the Netherlands
To my great surprise I received an e-mail invitation to come to the Netherlands. I was invited to perform a slackline show and a workshop in Straattheaterfestival in Heechspanning. Since I had never been to the Netherlands, this opportunity seemed really attractive to me. I have heard a lot of stories about the Netherlands, about its bicyle culture and canals. It seemed unbelievable that they were willing to fly me there from Estonia! The inviter Klaske Van der Veen had seen my icelining video and was interested in seeing my slacklining performance with his own eyes.
Slackline jam in Kassitoome
Kassitoome is a one of a kind place for
slacklining, because it’s bowl-shaped and thus perfect for rigging longer and
higher lines. We have rigged highlines, longlines, rodeolines and tricklines
there. This time Jaan Roose invited me to a rodeoline session. The 50 m long
rodeoline was challenging for me, since I have never walked on that line. In
the end, my muscles got used to it and I was able to walk the whole distance.
Since it was a piece of cake for Jaan, I felt even more motivated to try it.
Torun Speedline 2018
On June 22, a one of a kind slackline competition „Speedline Cup“ was held in Torun, Poland. The idea of this competition was to walk on a slackline as fast as possible. But since the walking took place on a highline, it was mentally very challenging.
The objective was to walk on 25-30 m parallel lines with a competitor and the winner would get to the next round.
